Rockstar Games Prohibits Posting the Ending and Other GTA 6 Spoilers

There's no doubt that no one wants to hear any GTA 6 spoilers once the game is released—and that's just two weeks from now. And it looks like Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have taken care of that.

The developers have published a new guide on the types of content that can be posted online when GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S (November 19). Specifically, according to the company’s policy, users are not allowed to post videos featuring the game’s ending, cutscenes, important plot dialogues, and so on. However, full playthroughs lasting several hours are permitted for those streaming the game on YouTube or Twitch. If anyone leaks the ending of GTA 6 immediately, the videos will be removed.

Take-Two & Rockstar has strict guidelines against posting GTA 6 spoilers.

• No leaked pre-release footage or early unboxing videos.
• No videos revealing the game’s ending or major story moments.
• No isolated cinematic or cutscene uploads.

We can’t afford to see spoilers before experiencing GTA 6 ourselves. Be careful what you post and what you click. Protect your first playthrough!

This is really important news for everyone who won’t be able to play GTA 6, as well as for those who plan to play it and don’t want to spoil the experience for themselves. When news broke that copies of the game were being sent out to journalists and streamers, one of those who gained access to the game was YouTuber Shirrako—the same person who spoiled the ending of Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, right when the game was released, leading fans to fear he would do the same with GTA 6. Hopefully, history won’t repeat itself.

Meanwhile, Rockstar Games has confirmed that pre-downloads for GTA 6 will begin next week, on November 10. Additionally, according to Sensor Tower, the game's pre-orders are nearing 8 million copies, and a leak from the PS Store has revealed GTA 6 will have several additional technical enhancements on the PS5 Pro.
