Walmart Is Giving Some “Surprise” by Pre-Ordering GTA 6

Unlike September and October, November 2026 isn’t as packed with major game releases. However, on November 19, what is perhaps the most anticipated game of this generation—GTA 6—will launch. The release of a new Grand Theft Auto game is always a big deal, and considering how hard Rockstar has worked on the sixth installment, it’s hard to imagine just how much the game will change the open-world action genre, how detailed and polished it will be, and whether it will ultimately become the best entry in the franchise and the best game released in 2026.

According to Sensor Tower, GTA 6 pre-orders are nearing the 7 million mark, and there are surely still those who haven’t pre-ordered for one reason or another. Meanwhile, on social media, it was discovered that Walmart is offering a “surprise” with GTA 6 pre-orders that include delivery. Fans speculate that this could be either a physical copy of the game's map or even clothing items.

Having been in the spotlight for almost the entire year—especially in the summer, when there were massive gameplay leaks, and following the official gameplay reveal—we can expect even more content about GTA 6 in the coming days. There’s a small chance Rockstar might still release new official footage, although the launch trailer dropped last month was most likely the last one.

We know that gaming journalists have already started receiving their copies of GTA 6, and on November 18—one day before the official release—the review embargo will lift. According to forecasts from Polymarket, there is a 97% probability the game will get a score of 90+ on Metacritic, and 59% are confident it will score 97+—the same as GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
