GTA 6 Will Probably Receive a 96+ Rating at Metacritic, According to Polymarket

For most gamers, this may be the most anticipated month of the year. In just 18 days, GTA 6 comes out for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners.

Speculation about the game is only growing, especially about whether it will be better than previous games in the series and whether it will be the best game of the year. On the possible score, Polymarket data shows a 57% probability that GTA 6 will get a 97+ on Metacritic, the same as GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Another 23% of predictions say it will score 98 or higher. More optimistic forecasts give GTA 6 a 97% chance of scoring 90+, 95% for 92+, 88% for 94+, and 76% for 96+.

So there is a lot of confidence that GTA 6 will become the highest-rated game of the year on Metacritic, passing the Switch 2 versions of Sektori and Resident Evil 2: Deluxe Edition, which both have a score of 93. Insider Gaming’s experts have doubted that GTA 6 will score extremely high. They predicted a score between 83 and 87. Meanwhile, back in September, Polygon explained why Rockstar’s game would be the best title of the year.

Either way, GTA 6’s scores and reviews are among the biggest points of interest before release. Last week, journalists received their copies, and the review embargo lifts one day before launch.
