The Wolf Among Us Remastered Choices Will Have an Impact on The Wolf Among Us 2

This week, Telltale released The Wolf Among Us Remastered—an enhanced edition of the original 2013 title. This is a very important release in light of the sequel, which launches next year. And, as was widely expected, the developers have confirmed that the choices made in the remaster will directly influence the plot of the second installment.

This is stated directly on The Wolf Among Us Remastered page on Steam. Specifically, you’ll be able to carry over the choices you made in the game when playing through The Wolf Among Us 2, which will be released next year. However, even if you don’t play the remaster, you’ll be able to specify the choices you made before starting the game.

Choices you make in The Wolf Among Us: Remastered will carry over into The Wolf Among Us 2, confirms Telltale:

"Players who sign in to their Telltale Account while playing Remastered can carry those defining choices into the next season of Bigby’s story.

Those who prefer to jump straight into The Wolf Among Us 2 can establish their past choices at the start of the game, with no previous playthrough required. However you lived it, The Wolf Among Us 2 will remember."

Given that The Wolf Among Us, like The Wolf Among Us Remastered, is a nonlinear game—and that the decisions the player makes throughout the story influence future events and have consequences—this is particularly intriguing in the context of the upcoming sequel. Especially considering the open-ended and mysterious ending of the original, which, hopefully, will be further explored in the second installment.

As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, it has received high praise from critics —even more so than the original. This is largely due to the improved visuals, the new Noir Mode, and the various behind-the-scenes videos added to the new version. If you’re still undecided about purchasing The Wolf Among Us Remastered, Telltale has confirmed that owners of the original will receive a 50% discount across all platforms, whilst new players will receive a 20% discount until 12 November.

The game is now available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
