GTA 6 Marketing in Miami Gets Even Bigger With a New Deal

GTA 6 is closer than ever. Since mid-October, its marketing has gone to a new level: murals and ad banners have appeared in major cities around the world, and the game has started showing up on television. Most of the attention goes to Miami, the real-life inspiration for Vice City, and the city is about to look even more like its virtual counterpart.

The Miami-Dade County website stated city officials have made a deal with Rockstar Games to promote GTA 6 using the city’s infrastructure. Some people in the administration initially opposed promoting a game that glorifies violence, but it has now been revealed that Miami International Airport, public transport, and the port will be decorated in GTA 6 colors.

BREAKING NEWS: Miami-Dade County has announced a $3.9 million marketing package with Rockstar Games to promote GTA 6 at county facilities.

Themed lighting will be shown at PortMiami and MIA, as well as promotional displays at pedestrian walkways at the airport. Traffic signal cabinets across the county will also be wrapped in the iconic gradient.

A separate advertising purchase with media partners will also add GTA 6 promotion to the county’s transportation system (Metromover, Metrobus, Metrorail)

The $975,000 Welcome to Vice City sign on Kaseya Center roof is part of that $3.9M deal. Funds will benefit the Dan Paul Plaza public park behind the arena.
