GTA 6 Online Is Rumored to Launch in 2027 Along with the PC Version

Just three weeks remain until the launch of GTA 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and in two weeks, players will be able to start pre-loading the most anticipated game of recent years. Meanwhile, rumors continue to swirl about a PC release in 2027, as well as the introduction of a multiplayer mode—and, according to a new report, these future occurrences may be connected.

According to Bank of America, as first reported by GameSpot, Rockstar Games may release a multiplayer mode for GTA 6 in early 2027, tying it to the launch of the game’s PC version. Analysts attribute this to Take-Two Interactive’s desire to significantly boost its financial performance, and the new version of GTA Online, set to launch in the first quarter of 2027, will undoubtedly provide the publisher with a new avenue for long-term revenue generation for years to come.

Bank of America thinks GTA Online could be 40-60% of Take-Two's earnings by fiscal 2029, with a bull case of about $4.3B in net revenue that year, per Proactive Investors. Rockstar hasn't announced an online mode for GTA 6.

Speaking of GTA 6 for PC, a recent report once again noted the game will be released on the platform in 2027, approximately 6–7 months after its console launch. However, Rockstar has not yet made any official announcement on this matter. If you haven’t purchased GTA 6 for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S yet, you can get it on Eneba.
