Insider Shared New Details About Upcoming Warhorse Titles - New Kingdom Come and The Lord of the Rings Game

As the studio announced this spring, Warhorse Studios is officially working on two new games. One is a new spin-off in the Kingdom Come franchise, and the other is an RPG set in Middle-earth.

The studio hasn’t released any official footage of either game and hasn’t shared many details. Meanwhile, franchise insider bertik11, who has reported on Kingdom Come details before, shared new information about the upcoming projects on Reddit. According to his update, the spin-off is scheduled for the first half of next year and will be a little smaller in scale than Deliverance and Deliverance II. The game is also already in internal testing.

As for the Lord of the Rings game, it will be handled by Middle-earth Enterprises, and full-scale production may start soon. According to the insider, though, it won’t be released for another 5-6 years. You can find more details about both games below:

Earlier rumors also suggested the new Kingdom Come might be called Salvation and will feature multiplayer, as trademarks hint. Warhorse representatives have also claimed they plan to release the game by March 2028.

Official details about the studio’s Middle-earth game are scarce, but Warhorse communications director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling confirmed it will be a “narrative adventure game set in an open world.”
