New Kingdom Come Game Reportedly Titled Salvation and Could Feature Multiplayer

This May, Warhorse Studios confirmed that the studio is working on a new Kingdom Come installment following the huge success of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, released last year. However, for the time being, this is not a third installment but a new, full-fledged open-world RPG in the franchise. The developers have not yet shared any official details about the new game, but the title of the upcoming project may have been discovered, along with some interesting details about its gameplay.

According to ThePhrasemaker, Warhorse Studios has filed a trademark application for ‘Kingdom Come Salvation’ in the EUIPO —the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Fans have also noted that the studio’s font matches that used in previous announcements, as does the Prague patent address, which was included in documents related to the Kingdom Come: Deliverance games. Furthermore, the document mentions “entertainment services for matching users with computer games,” which may indirectly suggest that Kingdom Come Salvation—the franchise’s new game—will feature online elements, such as a co-op mode or even multiplayer. According toThePhrasemaker.com, "Kingdom Come Salvation" was filed from the same attorney address as Deliverence's trademark:

"Moreover, the attorney address, based in Prague, is the same as the one we found for the Kingdom Come Deliverance trademark ¹. There aren’t many studios in Europe that would copy the font and name of a critically acclaimed title and file it in the same city with the same attorney."

The classification is the same as Deliverance, with mention of "entertainment services for matching users with computer games", with the reporter suggesting this may imply multiplayer elements.

"As for what information we could scrape from the trademark classification, it is pretty much standard wording of 009 and 041 for big AAA games.

However, there is the mention of “entertainment services for matching users with computer games.” While it doesn’t prove there will be multiplayer aspects in the adventure game, it strongly suggests that this is within the scope of what Warhorse has in mind.

The trademark itself is very specific, and if the studio wants to go all in on a single-player experience, they could very easily leave this part out, but they added it here."

As well as the new installment of Kingdom Come, Warhorse is also working on a new project—an open-world RPG set in the Middle-Earth universe, which they announced on the same day. Details of the project are scarce for now, apart from a statement by the studio’s communications director, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, that it will be a “narrative adventure game set in an open world.” As with the new Kingdom Come, the game’s release date remains unknown.

As for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, it was also revealed last month that the second installment had sold 6 million copies across all platforms.
