GTA 6 Confirmed to Feature Explicit and Sensual Scenes

GTA 6, the most anticipated game of the year and one of the most anticipated titles in gaming history, finally launches next month on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There's still plenty we don't know about Rockstar's new project, but with October already here, the release genuinely feels close, and details about the game's rating are starting to trickle out.

Over the past few days, updates on GTA 6's rating have spread across the internet: Rockstar has officially confirmed an M (17+) rating, covering blood and gore, intense violence, nudity, strong language, sexual content, and more. That last point stands out in particular since fans discovered through New Zealand's rating listing that the game includes full sex scenes. Earlier trailers had already hinted at this, and some content makers who had an early access to GTA 6 have confirmed it as well.

Sex scenes are confirmed in GTA 6, according to the official age rating in Australia and New Zealand.

For comparison, GTA 5 didn’t have this in the age rating.

Given that Jason and Lucia are the two protagonists in GTA 6, and Rockstar has already confirmed they can form a romantic relationship, this detail raises some interesting questions about how far that goes. The developers might keep things limited to cutscenes, but fans are already speculating GTA 6 could include some version, likely a more advanced one, of the infamous "Hot Coffee" mechanic from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Earlier this week, Game Informer published a new GTA 6-focused magazine issue revealing 12 new screenshots along with a wealth of details about the game’s open world, dynamic weather system, wildlife, and more. Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
