New GTA 6 Details Revealed – L3 as Sprint Button, Technical Specs, Respawn After Death, and More

Various content creators who have gained access to the GTA 6 demo continue to share details about the most anticipated game of 2026. This time, new details have surfaced regarding the game’s technical specifications on the PlayStation 5, as well as several gameplay details—including just how far Jason and Lucia’s relationship might go.

The information was shared by the well-known Italian YouTuber MikeShowSha, who played GTA 6 for two hours alongside Rockstar North’s co-studio head and head of development, Rob Nelson, and has already posted a video on his channel revealing a wealth of details. You can check out the main ones below:

  • GTA 6 runs at 30 FPS on a basic PS5. So far, it’s unclear whether the game will run at 60 FPS on the PlayStation Pro—30 FPS remains the more likely option.
  • Rockstar has changed the run button in GTA 6—the run button is now mapped to L3 instead of X. At the same time, the characters’ movements look much smoother and less stiff than in RDR2.
  • Players will need to literally take care of Jason and Lucia’s well-being—making sure they eat, sleep, and work out. Overeating will lead to obesity, while lack of sleep will make your character less active and effective.
  • If your character dies, you’ll end up in the hospital. If you’re arrested, you’ll continue the game at the police department. Also, when your character dies, you’ll lose all your cash.
  • It’s known that the game will feature 5 criminal profiles (similar to the honor system in Red Dead Redemption 2)—Professional, Aggressive, Violent, Psycho, and Shattered. MikeShowSha confirms that none of them unlock additional features. However, Jason and Lucia have 'Focus Mode' that allows them to identify objects they can interact with, including various entrances and hiding spots.
  • During a chase, if you shoot at the tires of a police car instead of the officers, your chances of earning 'Professional' status increase. The YouTuber also notes that evading the police will be “much more difficult” than in previous GTA games.
  • On in-game social media platforms, you can find photos and videos of Leonida’s residents, whom you may also encounter on the streets of the game world.
  • The GTA 6 map will be covered by a “fog of war,” which will dissipate as soon as you begin exploring it.
  • You can read newspapers in the game, which are considered collectibles.
  • There is a possibility of a sexual relationship between Jason and Lucia in the game; however, it’s unclear whether this will be a full-fledged gameplay mechanic, a cutscene, or something else.
  • Rockstar has no plans to reveal details about GTA 6’s multiplayer mode anytime soon—and it will definitely not be released on November 19; it will launch at a later date.

On his X page, MikeShowSha added in a separate post that he still can’t believe how well GTA 6 performs on the PlayStation 5, which speaks to its incredible scale. However, we remember what Rockstar achieved with the release of, for instance, GTA 5 on the PlayStation 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PlayStation 4—so this isn’t new territory for them.

For now, you can also find out everything we know about GTA 6 so far—the story, gameplay, map, open world, platforms, and more - as well as how GTA 6 is reshaping the 2026 game calendar and everything about GTA 6 pre-order details: price, bonuses, exact time, and Ultimate Edition.
