007 First Light Gets New Free DLC - Extended Operations

As reported earlier this week, IO Interactive has released a new free DLC for 007 First Light, one of the year's most successful games so far. The update went live October 1, bringing a host of new features alongside fixes for numerous bugs and technical issues.

The biggest addition in this DLC, titled Extended Operations, is a new mission called Valhalla Protocol, which, as the name suggests, features the Aston Martin Valhalla. Players can also tackle a new Jungle Heist operation sending Bond to the Pearl Hotel. Beyond that, the update adds New Game+ mode, a brutal 00-difficulty setting for hardcore players, new weapons and suits, an expanded photo mode, and more.

The studio has also fixed a range of technical issues in 007 First Light, covering crashes, FPS drops, audio bugs, localization problems, and more. On the game's official site, the developers also noted it's currently 30% off across all platforms: PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

Released this May, 007 First Light has sold 4 million copies across all platforms, and GQ named it the best game of 2026. The game also received the most nominations at the 2026 Golden Joystick Awards, picking up Best Lead Performer, Best Supporting Performer, Best Soundtrack, Best Storytelling, and Console Game of the Year.
