Insomniac Released a New Update for Marvel’s Wolverine—It Allows Disabling Annoying Features

Insomniac Games continues to release updates for its new superhero action title, Marvel's Wolverine, which launched on September 15 exclusively for PlayStation 5. The gameplay has proven to be one of the game's most controversial aspects, and in the latest patch, the developers have added one of the features most requested by fans, which significantly impacts how it is perceived.

Update 1.001.006 for Marvel's Wolverine allows players to disable the following features: Scent Trails (trails from whiskey bottles), Audio Clues (for finding boxes of materials), and Nightmare Roots (root-like lines that point the way to additional challenges). However, that same annoying blue line is still in the game, although Insomniac slightly reduced its contrast in one of last week’s updates. Update 1.001.006 also fixes some technical and gameplay issues.

Insomniac has implemented a new toggle feature in Marvel's Wolverine to allow you to disable some of the Scent Trails, Audio Clues, and Nightmare Roots.

Despite the release of updates, users have noticed Marvel's Wolverine's ratings from game critics have begun to drop even further, making the game, if not a flop, then one of the year's biggest disappointments. Insomniac has not yet reported sales figures, but Marvel's Wolverine reportedly sold 1.9 million copies in its first three days.
