However, these are merely speculations, and official figures are currently unknown—especially given the ongoing console shortages, particularly for the PlayStation 5 Pro, and the persistent rumors that GTA 6 will run at 60 FPS on that specific console model.

As for the projected sales of GTA 6, the Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look presentation, which premiered on Netflix late last month, has had a significant impact on pre-orders for the game. According to Sensor Tower, the number of copies of GTA 6 sold has likely already surpassed the 5 million mark, with previous reports indicating that more than 90% of those are the $100 Ultimate Edition.

However, this month has also seen speculation that Rockstar might release a PC version of GTA 6 sooner than expected —and the reason lies precisely in the unstable situation in the console market.
