Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 Should Feature Deadpool, According to Voice Actor
Marvel's Wolverine—a new game from Insomniac, the studio behind the Marvel's Spider-Man franchise—is set to be released next week. But it’s believed that the studio is already working on a trilogy finale to wrap up Peter Parker’s story; and although even preliminary plot details remain unknown, according to one of the voice actors, a beloved character must appear in the game.
Recently, Yuri Lowenthal, the voice actor for Peter Parker in the Marvel's Spider-Man games, spoke with The Movie Dweeb, where he revealed that he'd like to see Deadpool in the third installment. The actor explained that every time he sees Brian Horton, the creative director of the second game and the upcoming Marvel's Wolverine, he pitches this idea to him, as you can check out below:

He’s pushing Brian Horton to make it happen.
Insomniac Games’ opportunities in the context of the Marvel Universe seem, if not limitless, then at least extremely advanced. The Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise alone featured appearances not only by heroes and villains associated with Peter Parker and his alter ego—such as Venom, Kraven the Hunter, Kingpin, Black Cat, and others—but also the universe’s lore, much like the MCU, has multiple links to the wider Marvel Universe - like Avengers Tower, the Wakandan Embassy, the Sanctum Sanctorum, associated with Doctor Strange and Wong, as well as the “Nelson and Murdock” law office, which has a direct connection to Daredevil.
But speaking of Deadpool, no matter how much Yuri Lowenthal might want to, we’ll most likely only get potential hints about the character in Marvel’s Wolverine. After all, if we look at the comics, although the character wasn’t a mutant and wasn’t part of the main X-Men roster, he’s closely tied to their universe. That’s because he was a member of X-Force, which also included mutants—not to mention his friendship with Wolverine, as confirmed by the movie set in the MCU, Deadpool and Wolverine.
The release date for Marvel's Spider-Man 3 remains unknown, but earlier this year, an IMDb page revealed that the game is in development, though Insomniac has not confirmed this. Marvel's Wolverine, the studio's next project, will be released on September 15 exclusively for PlayStation 5.
