Insider Revealed Which Games May Be Presented at BlizzCon 2026
The BlizzCon 2026 presentation will take place next week, and fans are expecting plenty of announcements regarding Blizzard’s future projects, including some that haven’t been announced yet. Rumors have already been circulating about which games might be featured at the show, and now more detailed information has emerged from a reliable insider.
During a recently aired episode of the Xbox Two Podcast, Windows Central editor Jez Corden shared information about potential announcements at BlizzCon, which is set to take place next week. According to him, several major WarCraft announcements are expected—these could include a console version of the strategy, a retro version of WoW: Classic, and something related to Warcraft 3: Reforged. Additionally, Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, and Heroes of the Storm will receive updates. Among the unreleased projects set to be showcased, we can expect announcements of TV series based on Blizzard franchises, a new StarCraft title, and a possible surprise not related to any of the games mentioned above.
SPECULATION | Jez Corden's exceptions for BLIZZCON 2026
- Expecting big Warcraft announcements (he doesn't know if that console version will be announced) “
- WoW Classic” retro version (classic graphics + gameplay)
- StarCraft shooter, co-op game with cross play (Not Xbox exclusive) likely also on PlayStation, maybe Switch
- New content for Diablo 4
- A lot of Blizzard classic PC games to get some love for the anniversary
- Heroes of the Storm
- Possibly Warcraft 3
- Possible surprise, some Blizzard employees list “unannounced project” on LinkedIn that doesn’t match known titles
- Overwatch updates
- Expecting TV show announcements
- Maybe Diablo V (very unlikely)
Despite the promising list, Jez Corden’s comments shouldn’t be taken as a 100% guarantee that this is exactly what will happen at BlizzCon. However, the insider has repeatedly posted information that later turned out to be true.
BlizzCon looks particularly intriguing in light of the new StarCraft, which has been the subject of widespread rumors over the past week. Recently, Blizzard updated the game’s website in an unusual way, leading fans to conclude that the new installment in the franchise will be a co-op shooter, as Jez Corden also reports. Additionally, Nexon is rumored to be acquiring the rights to StarCraft, after which it will begin development on a third installment—perhaps this news will also be officially announced at BlizzCon.
