Fan-Favorite Character Confirmed to Return in The Witcher 4

Details about The Witcher 4, the next main installment in the series, remain largely unknown. This is especially true when it comes to the story, gameplay, and the appearance of certain characters. But thanks to a voice actor, we now know that a beloved character will return in the upcoming game.

This is about Jacek Kopczyński, the voice of Dandelion in The Witcher games, who recently appeared at the PSX Extreme Party 2026. During the event, he confirmed that Dandelion will appear in The Witcher 4 and he already recorded a few lines. However, Kopczyński did not reveal what the character’s role will be in the fourth installment.

During PSX Extreme Party 2026, Kopczyński revealed he has already recorded some lines for Dandelion, but did not say how important the character will be.

Dandelion joins Geralt as one of the few characters to appear in all four main Witcher games.

As is well known, next year CD Projekt RED will release a new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt—Songs of the Past—in which Dandelion will play an important role. In a recent interview, Karolina Kuzia-Rokosz, Creative Vision Director at Fool’s Theory—the studio behind Songs of the Past—hinted the character will have a more serious role, but players can still expect the same eccentric hero they know and love. In the expansion, Geralt will visit Letten, Dandelion’s hometown, and meet his sister, Lilla, with whom the witcher will explore the city’s dark secrets and may even start a romantic relationship.

As for The Witcher 4, shortly before Gamescom, CD Projekt RED confirmed they plan to release the game in 2028. Additionally, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will be released this month, delighting players with updated graphics and an improved combat system—owners of the original game will receive the remastered version for free.
