Liquid Swords Confirms Samson Will Be Available on Consoles This Month

Released this April, Liquid Swords' debut project, Samson, remained a PC exclusive for a while, though the developers had always claimed console versions were coming eventually. Now, that's officially confirmed, with a release date locked in for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

On social media, Liquid Swords confirmed Samson: A Tyndalston Story launches on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 later this month, on September 21. It sounds like the team's been working on the console ports for several months now, which likely explains the lack of content updates lately, though that's expected to change once the console launch is out of the way, based on their post, which you can check out below.

Samson: A Tyndalston Story is coming to consoles on September 21, 2026!

We're launching on Xbox Series S|X and PS5 after spending the past few months preparing for this next chapter.

Toward the end of last month, the developers held a Q&A session and published a Steam blog post covering rough specs for the console version, along with future plans for the game, including new locations and possibly a story DLC. However, the multiplayer mode is not planned; Liquid Swords also stated a sequel is not in the immediate plans, with ongoing support and bug fixes remaining the top priority for now.

Samson is a crime action game centered on Samson McCray, who owes the mafia $100,000. When the mob kidnaps his sister, players race against a time limit, completing missions as quickly as possible to pay off the debt and get her back.
