Tripwire Interactive Announced Maneater 2 at State of Play

Maneater 2 from Tripwire Interactive was one of the most unexpected announcements at the recent State of Play. There had been no rumors or leaks about the game, so the developers' reveal was a hit with players. Judging by the debut trailer, we're in for even more thrilling action.

Just like in the original game, in Maneater 2 you’ll control a killer shark, and the action takes place in Neptune’s Kingdom—a theme park featuring massive pools, water parks, and more. In addition to devouring people, you’ll encounter other inhabitants of the underwater world—crabs, orcas, piranhas, etc. The debut trailer for Maneater 2 is available below:

Users also discovered that the Steam version of Maneater 2 mentioned Denuvo; however, a recent update reveals that the anti-piracy protection is no longer listed on the game's page. This may be a technical glitch, although Tripwire Interactive has not yet issued an official statement on the matter. Maneater 2 will release next year on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. The exact release date is currently unknown.
