Saros Gets New Free Update Zenith – First Details Revealed

During the recent State of Play presentation, new trailers were released for upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusives—Marvel's Wolverine and Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition—but Saros, which was released in April this year, also received its share of attention. Specifically, the developers at Housemarque showed a gameplay trailer for the new free update called Zenith, which will be released later this year.

The Zenith update for Saros will include a number of new features. For instance, the new Overlord Rush mode, where you battle overlord enemies from the main game one after another, competing against other players and fighting for the top spots on the leaderboard. The game will also feature a “New Game+” mode called Eclipse Layers, which will include increased difficulty, new modifiers, secrets, and trophies.

The Saros update Zenith arrives later this year at no additional cost, bringing:

Released this April, Saros received high praise from critics and even briefly appeared on Metacritic’s list of the highest-rated games. However, reports indicate that the game’s sales have been below expectations. According to data from mid-May, Saros sold only 300,000 copies in the first two weeks since release. It is not yet known what the current situation is. Meanwhile, earlier this week, Ilari Kuittinen, co-founder of Housemarque, announced his departure from the studio.

Saros is now available exclusively on PlayStation 5. The new update, Zenith, for the game releases later this year—the exact date is unknown for now.
