New GTA 6 Details Reveal More About In-Game Side Activities

Last week's release of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look gave fans a first real look at gameplay for 2026's most anticipated title, including various side activities Jason and Lucia can get into outside the main story. New GTA 6 details also continue to trickle out, shared by content creators who have gotten access to the demo version of the game.

The latest portion of details comes from TGG, who posted a video on his YouTube channel breaking down the game's side activities. He touched on how important it is to actually take care of Jason and Lucia in the game, making sure they get enough sleep and hit the gym regularly, along with the range of things there are to do in the world. You can check out the highlights from that video, as shared by X user TheGameVerse, below:

GTA 6 - New Activities Details from Rockstar Previews:

  • Jason and Lucia can gain weight by overeating, while muscle decreases if they stop working out.
  • Sleep quality affects attribute regeneration, with lack of sleep causing slower recovery and visible eye bags.
  • Fishing is as in-depth as RDR2, but uses a catch-and-release system.
  • Hunting can be used to make money and is connected to Jason’s story.
  • Jason and Lucia can work out together, with gym sessions potentially becoming “emergent dates” that improve their relationship.
  • Strength training increases health, while cardio improves stamina.
  • Gyms may require memberships and feature multiple exercises and equipment.
  • Basketball involves aiming and timing shots, with successful shots potentially improving Focus.
  • GTA 6 features track, street and off-road racing, with cars, bikes and nitrous.
  • Kayaking, fishing, the zoo and other activities can serve as dates, alongside pool, mini golf, wrestling and scuba diving.

As shown, various side activities in GTA 6 now tie more directly into gameplay: working out at the gym boosts health and stamina, while shooting hoops affects your Focus Mode level. Another well-known YouTuber, MikeShowSha, who played GTA 6 for two hours, has also shared quite a few details, including that the sprint button has been remapped to L3 instead of X and confirmed the game runs at 30 FPS on a basic PlayStation 5.

For now, you can also find out everything we know about GTA 6 so far—the story, gameplay, map, open world, platforms, and more - as well as how GTA 6 is reshaping the 2026 game calendar and everything about GTA 6 pre-order details: price, bonuses, exact time, and Ultimate Edition.
