GTA 6 Wanted System – Details of All Icons Revealed
With the release of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, the new presentation of the game, Rockstar has revealed quite a bit about its upcoming project, and the gameplay leaves little doubt GTA 6 is the studio's most ambitious, extensive, and complex game yet, maybe even in the genre's history.
The studio has already touched on GTA 6's plot, its open world, and the dynamic between Jason and Lucia, the protagonists whose relationship will play a key role in both the story and gameplay. As we know, the pair will be pulling off plenty of heists, meaning they'll inevitably have run-ins with the police. Unlike previous games in the series, though, evading the cops in GTA 6 won't be quite so simple. A new breakdown from X user rainy_wav explains what all the icons in GTA 6's wanted system mean, now expanded to six stars. You can check out the details below:
The meaning behind the different Wanted icons in GTA 6 may have been revealed.
According to GTA 6 analyst rainy_wav, each icon shows what the police know about you:
- CCTV camera — You’ve been spotted on camera
- Two people — Police are looking for a couple
- Clothes — Police know what you’re wearing
- Person — Police know your identity
- Gun — Police know which weapon you used
As shown above, pulling off heists or other crimes won't be easy for Jason and Lucia, since police response times are apparently near-instant. It's also been revealed that officers won't show up on the game's minimap, adding another layer of difficulty. Fortunately, when committing crimes together, players can switch between Lucia and Jason on the fly, letting one drive while the other holds off the cops. Among other details, Rockstar's Rob Nelson confirmed the game will run at 30 FPS at launch and reportedly won't include a first-person perspective.
