Cyberleek, the Hacker Responsible for GTA 6 Leaks, Is Likely to End Releasing New Videos

In a few hours, Netflix will premiere Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look—a new presentation of the most anticipated game of 2026, which Rockstar announced earlier this month. Despite the hype surrounding such a significant event, Rockstar’s plans were ruined when a hacker known as Cyberleek leaked numerous GTA 6 gameplay videos—but it appears he is finally ending his activities.

GTAForums users recently noticed that Cyberleek had begun withdrawing funds earned through his own cryptocurrency. According to data from KuCoin and the CCE.Cash exchange service: a total of $268,000 was withdrawn, divided into four transactions. It is also reported that two people may have been behind the Cyberleek, rather than a group or a single individual, as previously assumed. In any case, this may indicate that the hacker(s) are shutting down their operations, meaning we shouldn’t expect any new GTA 6 gameplay leaks anytime soon.

Looks like GTA leaks might be over soon, Cyberleek appears to have cashed out more than $250,000 from the ongoing GTA 6 leaks.

GTAForums user Vice Cit tracked several crypto wallet transactions that happened shortly before the GTA 6 Extended Look was released on Netflix. The transactions moved around $268,000 in total, with the money sent to multiple wallets.

This could actually be a good sign for GTA 6 and Rockstar. As the studio noted in a recent statement, this latest major leak was a painful blow for them, and despite the game’s relatively low-key marketing campaign, there’s a feeling that if GTA 6’s gameplay had been shown for the first time as part of the upcoming “An Extended Look” presentation on Netflix—where a current version of the game would have been showcased—the impact could have been much bigger. Either way, a lot of fans are grateful to Cyberleek for giving them a better understanding of what the game will look like.

In just over a week, Cyberleek has published sixteen gameplay videos of GTA 6 and revealed the game’s official map. His latest video, posted on August 26, shows the game’s prologue featuring Lucia in prison.

As for the above-mentioned Grand Theft Auto: An Extended Look, there are only a few hours left until its premiere. A recent report confirmed that the presentation will last 26 minutes and will be recorded from the PS5 version of the game.
