IO Interactive Revealed 007 First Light Sold 4 Million Copies

007 First Light is one of the most successful games of 2026 in terms of quality-to-sales ratio. Released by IO Interactive, it tells the story of James Bond’s early years. The game was warmly received by critics and players alike and is one of the highest-rated titles of the year. In a recent post, the developers reported impressive, updated sales figures for the project.

IO Interactive has announced that sales of 007 First Light across all platforms have surpassed the 4 million mark. Given that it has been less than three months since its release, this is a very decent result for the studio and Amazon, which owns the rights to the James Bond franchise.

Last month, it came to the fore that 007 First Light had made it into the top three best-selling games of 2026, trailing only Resident Evil Requiem and Crimson Desert, which took first and second place, respectively. That said, the game has been named the best title released in 2026 so far, according to GQ magazine. Amazon Games CEO Jeff Gattis even hinted that IO Interactive should be responsible for developing a sequel to 007 First Light but added that it is still too early to discuss this. Additionally, IO Interactive recently released a new update for the game - Behind Enemy Lines. It adds two new TacSim missions, along with new weapons, and fixes a number of technical issues.

007 First Light is now available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The game’s version for the Nintendo Switch 2 is rumored to release next month.
