Leaked GTA 6 Footage Might Actually Be from the PC Version of the Game

As is well known, a number of GTA 6 gameplay leaks have surfaced this week, provided by the hacker Cyberleek. Thanks to these, players now have a clearer picture of the game, as the videos have showcased various mechanics—and it does not look as though the leaks will stop any time soon.

However, it has not been revealed on which platform the early GTA 6 gameplay was recorded—PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S. According to a new rumor, this actually refers to the PC version of the game, which has not yet been officially announced. This information appeared on the page of the well-known insider TheRavenHelm, who, in a conversation with a game developer, concluded that the version of GTA 6 shown in the leaks is the PC version—with a gamepad connected to the PC, as evidenced by the blank button labels and the icons appearing after the buttons on the gamepad are pressed, as you can check out below:

Game dev here... This is likely a PC build played with a controller. Console devkit is possible but their credentials are frequently reset and require new authentication/periodic online check ins, making it much harder to keep up and running without approval.

Furthermore, according to TheRavenHelm, the hacker Cyberleek may not just have a test version of the game but a fully playable build. This is also hinted at by the latest, fifth GTA 6 gameplay leak, at the end of which the author uses a rifle to write the word ‘Leek’ on a wall. If it turns out that this entire leak also originates from an unannounced PC version of the game, it would be considered an incredible revelation.

It has also recently emerged that the GTA 6 leak may have occurred as a result of a hack on the devices of one of Rockstar India’s employees, while Cyberleek, for its part, has hinted at the disclosure of the content of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look—a presentation offering a new look at the game, which is set to premiere on Netflix on August 27.
