Phantom Blade Zero: New Gameplay, Details, and System Requirements Revealed

As previously announced, S-Game, in collaboration with PlayStation, hosted a special State of Play presentation related to Phantom Blade Zero – one of this autumn’s most eagerly anticipated action RPGs. During the 18-minute video, the developers revealed a wealth of details about their new game and discussed the combat system, the world and the story.

Although Phantom Blade Zero will not feature an open world, players will have the opportunity to explore the environment by helping various NPCs and completing side quests that will reveal more about the main story. The combat system was given particular attention during the State of Play presentation – the developers promise that players will be able to customize it to suit their own playstyle, thanks to the game’s selection of over 30 types of primary weapons, each with its own distinct characteristics, and more than 20 types of secondary weapons. The studio has also put a great deal of work into the game’s difficulty settings; Phantom Blade Zero offers several options, suitable for both new players unfamiliar with the genre and truly hardcore gamers. Phantom Blade Zero is a single-player action RPG, developed for PC and PlayStation 5, blending wuxia, Chinese martial fantasy, with steampunk elements. The story follows a warrior named Soul, wrongly accused of killing his mentor. Mortally wounded, he has exactly 66 days left to live, and in that time, he must track down the real killers and get his revenge.
