Phantom Blade Zero Pre-Orders Are Live and New 11-Minute Gameplay Is Revealed

S-Game has unveiled new gameplay footage for Phantom Blade Zero, its upcoming project and one of this autumn's most anticipated games. Pre-orders are also now live across all platforms, and it's been confirmed a famous martial arts star will appear in the game.

The announcement came via the studio's social media. The 11-minute gameplay trailer showcases a spectacular combat system, boss fights, and several cinematic sequences. There is also a surprise waiting at the end: Donnie Yen, star of the Ip Man films, not only plays the protagonist's father but is also serving as a creative consultant on Phantom Blade Zero, helping shape the combat sequences. Donnie Yen has served as Creative Consultant on Phantom Blade Zero since 2023, bringing his martial arts and action filmmaking expertise to the game’s combat design. He also takes on the role of Facial & Motion Capture Actor for Mó Yuan.

The developers also mentioned a Phantom Blade Zero and Fortnite crossover —if you pre-order the game on the Epic Games Store, you will get the Soul Outfit in Fortnite. Players have also discovered a demo version likely coming soon, having spotted it briefly on PSN before it was removed. Meanwhile, PlayStation has also confirmed a State of Play presentation next week dedicated entirely to new Phantom Blade Zero gameplay.

The game was originally set for September 9, but S-Game pushed it back to October 29 earlier this summer to give the team extra time to polish everything. Phantom Blade Zero is a single-player action RPG, developed for PC and PlayStation 5, blending wuxia, Chinese martial fantasy, with steampunk elements. The story follows a warrior named Soul, wrongly accused of killing his mentor. Mortally wounded, he has exactly 66 days left to live, and in that time, he must track down the real killers and get his revenge.
