Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Details Revealed—Duration, System Requirements, Gameplay Features, and More

Later this month we will see the release of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, a new entry in the franchise that serves as a prequel to the first game, A Plague Tale: Innocence. This time, Asobo Studio focuses on Sophia, a character from A Plague Tale: Requiem, shifting the emphasis from stealth toward action, with the story moving between medieval times and ancient Minoan times.

As launch approaches, the developers have shared several notable details. It has been revealed that completing Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy takes between 15 and 20 hours, roughly on par with A Plague Tale: Requiem. The studio has also confirmed you don't need to have played the previous two games - Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is designed to work well for newcomers too. As for other Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy gameplay details, Asobo Studio has confirmed the game will explore both Sophia's backstory and the origin of Macula. You should also expect a mysterious creature to be hunting the protagonist throughout nearly the entire story.

It's also recently come out that the developers are working on a brand-new IP and are currently hiring for it. The project's believed to still be in the early stages of development and is expected to target the next console generation – PlayStation 6 and Project Helix.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will release on August 27 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
