It Takes Two Is Rumored to Release on Nintendo Switch 2 This October

One of the best co-op games ever, It Takes Two from Hazelight Studios, may soon be added to the list of platforms on which it can be played. According to a new leak, the game will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 this October.

As revealed by Nintendo Everything, citing the Chinese games distributor Prowell Asia Holdings, It Takes Two is set to be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 15, 2026. However, there has been no official announcement from Hazelight Studios as yet.

Information about a Nintendo Switch 2 version of It Takes Two has reportedly surfaced through Prowell Asia Holdings, a Chinese games distributor.

A document from the company reportedly lists the EA and Hazelight co-op game for October 15, 2026 on Switch 2.

The listing also indicates that the game will be released physically as a game-key card, with an estimated download size of around 12.1GB and support for multiple languages, including English.

It Takes Two triumphed at The Game Awards 2021, winning ‘Game of the Year,’ as well as Best Family Game and Best Multiplayer Game. Last year, Hazelight Studios released another co-op adventure, Split Fiction, which also received rave reviews from players and critics but failed to win a single award at the TGA 2025—a decision that caused outrage amongst fans. The studio has also confirmed that i t is already working on a new project, but no details are known at this stage.

It Takes Two is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
