Rockstar Games Will Reveal A Lot of New GTA 6 Content This Month, Teases Insider

There are just over three months left until Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but Rockstar Games is still in no hurry to share any new official details. Meanwhile, reliable insider NateTheHate previously claimed the developers would show a new look at the game this month, and in a recent post he hinted it could be a really extensive reveal.

During a recent Q&A with X users, the insider was asked whether Rockstar Games might show the game's first gameplay footage instead of a new trailer. While he didn’t share anything specific, NateTheHate replied he expects a meaningful look at the game during the next reveal, with the developers apparently sticking to the same marketing approach they used for GTA 5, as you can check out his words below:

With GTA6 being just over 3 months, do you think there is a possibility that we might not get a trailer 3 but straight to a gameplay trailer, because they would want the gameplay and online trailer spread out evenly?

I expect Rockstar will follow a similar marketing pattern as they have in the past; but I think we'll get a meaningful look at GTA6 during its next appearance.

Looking back at how Rockstar Games promoted GTA 5 ahead of its 2013 release, the first two trailers were followed by a character-focused clip dedicated to Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, released April 30. Then, on July 9, the developers revealed the first gameplay footage. Given how little time is left before GTA 6 launches, there's a real chance the next video could be gameplay rather than another trailer. Plenty of gameplay details remain unknown, such as the official map, how switching between Jason and Lucia works, and more. Still, at this point, that's nothing more than speculation.
