Rockstar Games Support Might Be Teasing GTA 6 New Materials Releasing Soon

The reliable insiders have already reported this on several occasions, while Take-Two Interactive, the studio’s parent company, is scheduled to hold its next earnings call on 7 August. Strangely enough, the developers themselves may also be hinting at this.

X users have spotted a new post written by Rockstar Games’ technical support team. It states that the company will be carrying out maintenance on the Rockstar Games account servers on August 4 (4:00–6:00 UTC), during which players will not be able to change their account details. Some fans have interpreted this announcement as a sign of something bigger to come – the release of a new GTA 6 trailer or even the first gameplay reveal. Either way, it’s best not to get your expectations up too high just yet, as this could simply be a routine check that takes place regularly.

Rockstar Services supporting Rockstar Games accounts will undergo maintenance August 4, 2026, between 4:00 and 6:00 UTC. During this time, players will be unable to modify account information, including account deletion. This maintenance is not expected to take the entire scheduled window, and services will return as soon as it has completed.

Earlier, the well-known insider NateTheHate had repeatedly stated that Rockstar Games would reveal GTA 6 this month, while his colleague Tom Henderson speculated that a new game's trailer might be released on August 6 —the day before Take-Two Interactive’s next earnings call. Furthermore, NateTheHate had previously hinted that this might even be a full-scale reveal of the first Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay footage.
