Fans' anticipation for GTA 6 seems boundless. With Rockstar Games staying quiet on the most anticipated video game of 2026, some fans have taken matters into their own hands, recreating the entire map in another game at a full 1:1 scale—and the result is actually impressive.

Reddit user Dry_Avocado_3682 recently posted a detailed demonstration of how he managed to transfer the GTA 6 map into Cities: Skylines 2, maintaining a 1:1 scale. He also revealed the project took around 145 hours to complete and shared the map ID, 153426. A lot of users were impressed not just by how closely the recreated map matches the GTA 6 map based on trailer footage, but also by the building density, object count, and plenty of other details.

It’s also worth noting that Rockstar Games has yet to release an official map of Grand Theft Auto VI. But the GTA 6 Mapping Project, built from leaks and trailer footage, has put together an accurate replica that's likely close to the real thing. Incidentally, it recently came out where Jason Duval's house —one of the two main protagonists—might be located on the game's map.

As for the news about GTA 6, insider NateTheHate recently claimed fans can expect new GTA 6 info this month and teased it will be a gameplay reveal rather than a new trailer. Meanwhile, another well-known insider, Tom Henderson, has predicted a new trailer will drop on August 6, the day before Take-Two Interactive's next earnings call.
