Take-Two Interactive Once Again Confirmed GTA 6 Will Release on November 19, 2026

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have repeatedly confirmed GTA 6 is releasing November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. And if anyone still has doubts, the parent company recently sent shareholders a document reassuring them, once again, that a delay isn't something to worry about.

In the document, Take-Two claimed the upcoming 2027 fiscal year is shaping up to be a breakthrough for the company, largely thanks to GTA 6's release. CEO Strauss Zelnick also used the phrase "planned November 19 launch"—a term typically reserved for releases the company considers locked in. Take-Two also touched on the success of a recent GTA Online update, A Safehouse in the Hills, released last December, calling it one of the most successful updates in GTA 5's multiplayer history. GTA 6 Is Still On Track for November 19

Despite ongoing rumors claiming the game has been internally delayed to 2027, Take-Two’s latest statements continue to point to a November 19 launch.

Some notable highlights from the document:

Take-Two says the Grand Theft Auto franchise has “continued to significantly outperform expectations” and is showing “strong momentum ahead of the planned November 19 launch of Grand Theft Auto VI.” GTA Online: A Safehouse in the Hills was described as one of the best-performing updates in the game’s history. GTA+ posted strong year-over-year growth, driven by seasonal content updates. Take-Two also expects to generate over $1 billion in operating cash flow during FY2027, giving the company additional flexibility to invest in technology, pursue acquisitions, and maximize the long-term success of its franchises.

Based on Take-Two’s own wording, there is currently no indication in this document that GTA 6 has been delayed to 2027.

Last week, Take-Two also confirmed that the company’s next earnings call is set for August 7. With GTA 6's marketing campaign expected to be more active by then, there's a real chance Rockstar Games reveals new details around the same time—it could be the new trailer, gameplay footage, or information about the game’s multiplayer mode. At the same time, insider Tom Henderson had previously teased that a new trailer for GTA 6 could be revealed in August as well.
