Echo Generation: Midnight Edition and Luto Are the Latest Free Games on Epic Games Store

Epic Games Store has launched its latest free game giveaway. As announced last week, Echo Generation: Midnight Edition and Luto are the two games available for free until July 23. In addition, another title that will be free next week has also been confirmed.

Echo Generation: Midnight Edition is a turn-based adventure set in the '90s, developed and published by Cococucumber in 2021. The game’s story is about a group of children and their pets that are trying to save their hometown from aliens. The combat system is based on timing, and the game also features location exploration and companion recruitment.

As for Luto, it's a first-person psychological horror game developed by Broken Bird Games and released last year. The protagonist, Sam, can't escape his own home and finds himself trapped in a reality-warping loop. The game received positive reviews at launch and has even been compared to P.T. —the demo for Hideo Kojima's canceled Silent Hills.

It's also been confirmed that Foretales, a card-based RPG from Alkemi, will be available on the Epic Games Store next week. In the game, you're tasked with saving a kingdom from a curse, and cards are the core mechanic—letting you move through locations, interact with characters, and fight them.

Beyond the weekly promotion, the Epic Games Store has a few other free titles you can add to your library. NoRush! – Tower Edition, a 3D platformer where players climb a tower while dodging obstacles, is free until July 20. Together After Dark, a 4-player co-op horror game, is free until July 27, and KeepUp Survival, an open-world survival game where you build a base after crash-landing a plane in uncharted territory, is available until July 19.

As for the traditional EGS giveaway, Echo Generation: Midnight Edition and Luto are available for free until July 23.
