Arcadia Bay Signs Appear on Vancouver Streets—Filming for the Life is Strange TV Show is Underway

Filming on Amazon's Life is Strange adaptation kicked off late last month in Vancouver, and it's still underway. The creators haven't shared any official behind-the-scenes photos yet, but attentive fans have already snapped a few, and the actors have started revealing what their characters look like. Meanwhile, the streets of Vancouver have already been turned into Arcadia Bay—the city from the original game—according to a new set of leaked photos.

X user AdnanRiaz9, citing an original Reddit post, showed how the show's creators are recreating Arcadia Bay's atmosphere: several banners featuring the town's logo have appeared on the streets, and one shows that lighthouse—instantly recognizable to anyone who's played the original game—as you can check out below:

Users have also spotted an image of a letter addressed to residents of Steveston, Richmond, where filming of Life is Strange is taking place. Besides revealing the show's codename, "Fender," the letter lists several scenes being filmed. One, spotted by user P1vsTheWorld, reads: "Exterior scene with soap bubbles to simulate falling snow." That detail alone will delight longtime fans—it's the closing scene of Life is Strange's first episode, "Chrysalis," set at that same lighthouse.

Fans can't wait for their first official look at Life is Strange TV show, especially after Maisy Stella recently shared a photo of herself as Chloe Price— viewers were impressed by how much she looks like the character from the game. An unofficial first look at Max Caulfield (Tatum Grace Hopkins) and Chloe Price (Maisy Stella) had already surfaced before that. As we know, the series fully adapts the storyline of the original game, released by DON'T NOD in 2015. The confirmed cast also includes Tom Cullen as Mark Jefferson, Leisha Hailey as Joyce Price, Raul Castillo as David Madsen, Owen Teague as Frank Bowers, Billy Barratt as Nathan Prescott, Emily Carey as Victoria Chase, Esther McGregor as Rachel Amber, Faly Rakotohavana as Warren Graham, and Mia Isaac as Kate Marsh.

As for the Life is Strange video games, last month it was revealed that Life is Strange: Reunion's sales exceeded Square Enix's expectations. However, neither the publisher nor the developer, Deck Nine, has yet shared any details about the franchise's future.
