Gamers Counted the Amount of Cutscenes and Actual Gameplay in the GTA 6 Trailer 2

While GTA 6 fans can't wait to see the new trailer for the most anticipated video game of 2026, and keep digging through the latest GTA Online update for potential teasers, some players have gone back to previously released Rockstar Games videos related to GTA 6—carefully analyzing them in hopes of spotting actual gameplay footage.

On X social media, user Urban_GTA_6 posted a video breaking down the second GTA 6 trailer frame by frame, counting how many frames show actual gameplay and cutscenes. The results: 26 cutscenes (one uncertain) and 27 gameplay scenes—though two of those also need further clarification. Toward the end of the video, there's a note confirming that the second trailer was captured on a PlayStation 5 and mixes cutscenes with real gameplay footage, confirmed by Rockstar Games. GTA 6 Trailer 2 came out last May and it's still holding strong—currently the second most-viewed video on Rockstar's YouTube channel (175 million views). The debut trailer still holds the top spot with 287 million views to date. Meanwhile, possible leak of GTA 6's story recently surfaced, and it’s also including what the third trailer might include. Still, there's no word on when it might be released; the source even claims Rockstar is keeping the release date under tight wraps and may be spreading fake rumors about an imminent trailer release.
