It’s the debut project from Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s former developers. A recent announcement has confirmed the game won't be delayed and is on track to launch as planned.

On its social media, Rebel Wolves announced that The Blood of Dawnwalker has gone gold and is set to release on September 3rd for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Not long ago, gaming journalists got access to an early version of The Blood of Dawnwalker. The reviews were mostly positive, with particular praise for its similarities to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, also the atmosphere, nonlinear structure, and the core concept of a limited time frame to finish the game. As we know, in The Blood of Dawnwalker, players have to decide which quests to pursue and which to skip. Rebel Wolves wants players coming back for multiple playthroughs to see how differently things can unfold.

Rebel Wolves representatives also made a few notable comments about the game recently. Creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz spoke positively about a possible Nintendo Switch 2 release but noted that, even if it happens, it could take some time to make it happen. Meanwhile, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz dropped an unusual statement, as he confirmed the game was partly inspired by Max Payne and… Guitar Hero—specifically when it came to nailing the combat system and figuring out exactly how that mechanic should feel.
