Reservoir Dogs and The Sopranos Star, Steve Buscemi, Has Been Cast In Far Cry TV Series
Filming for a new adaptation of the popular game series is set to begin this autumn; as we know, FX, in collaboration with Noah Hawley (Alien: Earth), is developing a Far Cry TV series. However, it has been confirmed that the project will be an original story and won't be tied to any video game. Meanwhile, the show's cast continue to expand.
Far Cry X's social media page announced that Steve Buscemi, known for his roles as Mr. Pink in Reservoir Dogs and Tony Blundetto in The Sopranos, will appear in the upcoming show. While details about his role haven't been revealed, the creators tease that his character will be something of a madman, as you can check out below:
Welcome Steve Buscemi to the world of FX's FARCRY.
Hope you’re ready to get thrown into the deep end, lose your mind, and make a few catastrophically bad decisions along the way.
At the end of last month, it was also announced that Lizzy Caplan has joined the cast of the Far Cry series, joining Rob Mac, who will also serve as one of the show's executive producers. So far, FX hasn’t confirmed which characters any of the actors will portray.
As for the new game in the Far Cry universe, Ubisoft is actively working on Far Cry 7, which is reportedly set in Alaska. Recently, Ubisoft insider Rogue revealed some footage from the seventh installment and confirmed that its development has been problematic. Earlier, he also claimed that Far Cry 7 still might be announced this year and released in 2028.
