FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS to Shut Down on October 6, 2026
Square Enix has announced that FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS will end service on October 6, 2026, bringing the mobile RPG to a close just over three years after its launch. The shutdown was confirmed through the game's official website, where the developer said it would be "difficult to continue providing the service."
Originally released in September 2023 following a one-year delay, FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS retold key events from the Final Fantasy VII universe while also expanding on Sephiroth's backstory. The game featured command-based combat, cooperative boss battles, and a gacha-driven progression system.
Although Red Crystal sales have already ended, players can continue using any remaining premium currency until the servers close. Square Enix has also scheduled several farewell events, including Guild Battles, the FFVII EC Festival of Gratitude Campaign, the Summer Campaign, and the return of previous content.
The game's final story chapter will be released on September 6, coinciding with its third anniversary, giving players one last opportunity to experience the conclusion before service ends.
FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS remains available to download on mobile storefronts at the time of writing. Square Enix has also announced refund support for eligible users in Taiwan, while players in other regions have not been included in the refund program.
