Brawl Stars Temporarily Bans Skins in Esports Matches

A newly discovered Brawl Stars bug has prompted an official response from Supercell after reports linked certain Brawler skins to crashes during competitive matches.

The issue surfaced shortly after the launch of the NanoNoodles season, with several well-known community creators warning players that the bug could affect the ongoing Brawl Stars Championship Monthly Qualifiers.

Skins Temporarily Banned in Championship Matches

The problem gained attention after creators, including @REN_12234 and @CandyNoticias, shared reports on X stating that competitive players had been advised not to use Brawler skins during this weekend's qualifiers.

According to the reports, certain skins may cause Best-of-3 (BO3) match sets to fail after two or three games, preventing the series from finishing properly.

Supercell later addressed the issue through an official Discord announcement, confirming that Brawler skins have been temporarily prohibited in Championship matches until the problem is resolved.

What Supercell Confirmed

According to the official statement:

  • Brawler skins are temporarily banned in this weekend's Brawl Stars Championship matches.
  • The issue appears to cause BO3 series to end unexpectedly after two or three games.
  • Teams will not be penalized for using skins unless the bug directly disrupts a match.
  • Tournament officials will warn teams to avoid using skins until a fix is deployed.
  • Players have been asked not to submit reports against opponents simply for using skins.
  • If a crash occurs because of the bug, tournament administrators will handle the situation accordingly.

The issue has generated significant discussion within the competitive community, particularly as it affects official esports competition.
