Lebanese Restaurant Fries Lab to Close on November 19 for GTA 6

Only a few days remain until the whole world learns the price of GTA 6—the most anticipated project of 2026—and fans can’t wait to open their wallets and place pre-orders. It is expected that when the game launches on November 19, it could cause not a total collapse, but certainly a challenging situation due to many people being absent from work. For this reason, some companies have already announced that they will be closed on the day GTA 6 is released.

Last week, the American company Burger Motorsports announced that they decided to make November 19 a day off, as many employees requested the day off to spend it playing GTA 6. Following their example, the Lebanese restaurant Fries Lab also posted on their Instagram that they will be closed on November 19 due to the 10-year wait for GTA 6, as you can check out below:

“Chat, we waited over a decade for this. Fries Lab will be closed while we handle some very important business in Vice City.”

It is also worth noting that the statement from Fries Lab sparked an extraordinary reaction, which led to a significant increase in the restaurant's social media following thanks to GTA 6. As for companies making November 19th a day off, this is hardly surprising. Earlier, there were already speculations about how the game could literally change the world once it launched —examples included an "internet blackout," many students skipping classes, and, quite notably, numerous people missing work. It seems that this long-standing prediction is starting to come true.
