Clash of Clans June 2026 Update Introduces Hero Journey, New Troops, and Major Progression Changes

Supercell has unveiled the first details of the upcoming Clash of Clans June 2026 update, bringing one of the game's biggest progression overhauls in recent years. The update introduces the new Hero Journey system, additional Hero levels, a brand-new troop and spell, major Clan Capital improvements, and several highly requested quality-of-life features.

Hero Journey Overhauls Hero Progression

The centerpiece of the update is Hero Journey, a new progression system designed to make Hero upgrades more rewarding.

Unlocked through the Hero Hall at Town Hall 7, Hero Journey tracks the combined levels of all Heroes on an account. Every Hero level earned contributes points toward the progression track, unlocking rewards along the way.

Rewards include:

• Epic Equipment
• Exclusive Ascended Hero Skins
• Elixir and Dark Elixir
• Books, Potions, Runes, and other Magic Items
• Shiny, Glowy, and Starry Ore
• Hero and Equipment Quests
• Reward Chests

Supercell has also added catch-up mechanics that provide additional Ore rewards to returning and lower-progressed players, helping them remain competitive.

Players with already upgraded Heroes will automatically receive progress based on their current Hero levels and will be able to claim previously unlocked rewards.

One of the most notable additions is the introduction of Mastery Skins, awarded for fully maxed Heroes.

New Hero Levels Arrive

Several Heroes are receiving additional upgrade levels as part of the update:

• Barbarian King: +5 levels
• Archer Queen: +5 levels
• Grand Warden: +5 levels

These upgrades further expand endgame progression for advanced players.

New Troop: Ruin Witch

A brand-new troop, the Ruin Witch, will become available at Town Hall 16.

Unlike traditional troops, the Ruin Witch summons Ruin Knights based on destroyed buildings across the battlefield. Once all available ruins have been utilized, the troop becomes inactive until new structures are destroyed.

The Ruin Witch will launch with four upgrade levels.

New Angry Spell

The update also introduces the Angry Spell, a new Dark Spell designed to alter troop targeting behavior.

Units affected by the spell will prioritize nearby defensive structures, potentially creating new attack strategies and funneling options. The spell covers a six-tile radius, with higher levels extending its duration.

Clan Capital Treasury Solves Capital Gold Overflow

One of the most requested Clan Capital features is finally arriving.

The new Clan Capital Treasury allows clans to store excess Capital Gold after maxing current upgrades. The Treasury functions as a shared clan resource pool and automatically preserves donations until future Clan Capital upgrades become available.

Players contributing to the Treasury will earn Capital Reputation, creating additional incentives for participation.

The update also addresses Raid Weekend hopping. Players will no longer be able to freely join clans mid-event unless they:

• Already participated in the Raid Weekend
• Hold Elder rank or higher
• Joined before the Raid Weekend started
• Are joining open clans with relaxed restrictions

New Building Levels and Supercharges

Late-game players will gain access to additional upgrades, including:

• Monolith Level 5
• Builder's Hut Level 8
• Dark Spell Factory Level 8
• Dark Barracks Level 13
• New X-Bow Supercharges
• New Scattershot Supercharges
• Additional Wall upgrades

Fast Forward Feature Finally Arrives

One of the most requested quality-of-life features is making its way into Clash of Clans.

After 120 seconds of battle time, players will be able to activate a 4x speed mode, dramatically accelerating the remainder of an attack.

The feature will be available across multiple game modes, including:

• Home Village
• Builder Base
• Clan Capital

Expected Release Date

While Supercell has not officially confirmed a launch date, the update is expected to arrive around June 15, 2026, based on the developer's traditional update schedule.
