Insider Confirmed Bethesda Is Developing Fallout: New Vegas Remake

Rumors have long been circulating that Bethesda is working on updated versions of their classic hits following the success of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, which was released last year. It is reported that the next in line are remakes (or remasters) of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, although the studio has not yet confirmed any work on these projects.

Early reports, particularly from gaming journalist Jez Corden, indicated that the Fallout 3 remaster is scheduled for release in 2027, with an updated version of Fallout: New Vegas planned to follow afterward. Meanwhile, the well-known insider NateTheHate also confirmed that Bethesda is working on a remake of Fallout: New Vegas, although he did not provide any additional details. He shared this information on his X page while interacting with users and fellow gamers.

Earlier, Chris Avellone, one of the creators of Fallout: New Vegas, expressed his opinion that Bethesda is unlikely to be able to create a remastered version of the game. Prior to that, he had also criticized the studio for how they have handled the franchise.

In addition to the remakes and remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, Bethesda is actively working on Fallout 5, which will be inspired by the Amazon series of the same name, as confirmed by Todd Howard.
