EMPULSE, Titanfall’s Successor, Gets An Exciting First Trailer and Early Access Starting on June 24

Last month, the developers from 1047 Games, previously known for the Splitgate franchise, announced their new shooter titled EMPULSE, which is inspired by the Titanfall game series. A few weeks later, the game made significant progress with the release of its debut trailer and the announcement of the early access launch date.

The cinematic trailer for EMPULSE offers a glimpse into the game's setting: its events unfold in a futuristic future, in the city of Freehold, where teams battle for resources. You can check out the first trailer for EMPULSE below:

At the same time, some players have already gained access to the EMPULSE beta and shared their impressions. According to feedback, 1047 Games has managed to create an engaging and fast-paced shooter, with particular praise for the combination of parkour, grappling hook, and wall running. However, many note that EMPULSE still feels more like Splitgate rather than the spiritual successor to Titanfall 2, which is probably the biggest criticism. Overall, though, EMPULSE has turned out to be much better than many expected. Incidentally, 1047 Games announced that the upcoming project will launch in early access on Steam on June 24th, priced at $19.99, and will become completely free during the Steam Next Fest starting June 15th.

1047 Games studio has also stated that they plan to learn from the mistakes made with Splitgate and avoid repeating them in the further development of EMPULSE. Not only are the developers aiming to create a new project with its own unique flavor, but the studio has also confirmed a change in their approach to monetization for the upcoming game. Specifically, EMPULSE will not feature an in-game store or intrusive microtransactions. Rather than adopting a free-to-play model, 1047 Games has chosen a different path for EMPULSE, one they believe could lead to long-term success.
