Magicians: The Devil’s Deal Announced—First-Person Shooter About Illusionist Sent to Hell
At the Xbox Games Showcase, there were announcements of entirely new games that hadn't been rumored or leaked before, which is quite rare nowadays. Perhaps the most notable title in this context was Magicians: The Devil's Deal.
Developed by Uppercut Games and published by Focus Entertainment, Magicians: The Devil's Deal tells the story of Jacob Menteuro, an illusionist betrayed by his former friends known as the Masters—apparently fellow illusionists like himself. As a result, Jacob finds himself trapped in hell, a place reminiscent of Victorian London. To escape this mysterious realm, the Devil himself approaches him with an offer to make a deal. You can watch the debut trailer for Magicians: The Devil's Deal, along with the first footage from the upcoming project, below:
Magicians: The Devil's Deal is a first-person shooter where, in addition to firearms, the protagonist can wield magical powers. These abilities are no longer just part of a performance but essential tools for survival and defeating enemies—including powerful Masters, each with their own unique skills. Both visually and in terms of gameplay, the game is reminiscent of titles like BioShock and Dishonored; however, it stands out with its distinctive setting and vibrant visuals. The game is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
