Take-Two Will Release Multiple Remakes, Remasters, and DLCs by 2029

While gamers around the world await the release of GTA 6—which, according to Take-Two’s recent earnings call, is definitely set for November 19—the new financial report also reveals that we can expect a bunch of remakes, remasters, and expansions over the next few years.

According to its published financial report, Take-Two Interactive plans to release seven new remakes, remasters, and enhanced versions, one of which has been confirmed to be Max Payne 1 & 2—a remake of the first two games, developed by Remedy (the studio behind the Alan Wake and Control game series). What’s more, eight major DLCs are expected to be released, though there’s no mention of what games they will be. Most likely, these are new updates for GTA Online, which will continue to receive support even after the release of GTA 6 —a fact recently confirmed by Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.

Speaking of remakes, remasters, and enhanced editions of older games, a job posting recently published on Rockstar’s website confirms that t he studio plans to revisit its classic titles, and fans would certainly love to see a remake of GTA IV—even though an insider previously reported that a new version of the game is not currently in development.

Let’s also not forget that fans are still waiting for the release of the Red Dead Redemption 2 update for current-generation consoles, which is rumored to be scheduled for this year, and it’s worth noting that GTA 6 will definitely be released on PC— a fact that Strauss Zelnick also recently teased at. Be that as it may, it seems that Take-Two and Rockstar Games still have quite a few tricks up their sleeves besides GTA 6.
