IGN Journalist Promised to Eat Bag of Onions If GTA 6 Cost More Than $100

Some are willing to sacrifice a large sum of money to buy a console for the sake of GTA 6, while others dedicate massive amounts of time to it—like the person who spent three months building a theory about when the new game trailer would drop (which turned out to be false). However, it seems one of the most interesting challenges was created by IGN journalist Jim Trinca.

Recently, Trinca released a new video, which is called GTA 6 Could Make Billions and Still Trigger an Industry Crash. In this video, he discusses the game's price, which he believes could be exorbitant—over $100. Nevertheless, he is confident this won't happen; however, he has promised to eat a bag of onions if Rockstar Games actually decides to take such a step.

Despite skepticism from experts regarding a potentially inflated price for GTA 6, the latest issue of Insider Gaming Weekly reveals that the majority of players would be willing to pay $100 for the standard edition —84% of gamers, to be precise.

At the moment, neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive has revealed the price of Grand Theft Auto VI, but it could happen in the next couple of days. The recent leak from Best Buy retailer reveals that pre-orders of GTA 6 will start from May 18 to 21, and Take-Two’s new earnings call is confirmed to take place next Thursday, which coincides with the possible pre-order opening date and cannot be a coincidence.

For now, you can also find out everything we know about GTA 6 so far - the story, gameplay, map, open world, platforms, and more.
