Amazon Resumed the Production of Tomb Raider TV Series
A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Amazon had to stop the production of upcoming Tomb Raider TV show starring Sophie Turner due to the actress’ injury. However, after a little pause, the show is now seeming to be in active development.
According to TMZ, Amazon MGM has resumed the production of Tomb Raider show, with shooting now underway. Also, the source is adding that this two-week pause will not affect the production schedule.
Earlier this year, we saw the footage from Tomb Raider series, where Sophie Turner was in action, and you can check the leaked images here if you haven’t seen them yet. Besides Sophie Turner, the show’s cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Jack Bannon, Bill Paterson, Keeley Hawes, and more. Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) served as series creator, writer, and executive producer.
Lara Croft will also receive multiple video games, as Crystal Dynamics is working on Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis—the remake of 1996’s original game—and Tomb Raider: Catalyst—the sequel to 2008’s Tomb Raider: Underworld. Both projects are set to release in 2026 and 2027, respectively, for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
The release date for Tomb Raider series is currently unknown.
