Gaming Media Will Get a Look at Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced This Week

We are potentially two days from the official reveal of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced—a well-anticipated remake of 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which is considered one of the best games in the franchise.

Over the past few days, we’ve learned that the game’s official reveal is scheduled for April 16 and that the updated version will also include new content —including new storylines and characters. It’s also been rumored that the game will be presented during PlayStation’s State of Play, which was reportedly being considered to take place the same day, on April 16. However, Sony hasn’t confirmed it, and the presentation is now seeming to be off the cards.

Anyway, it doesn’t mean that the official announcement of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be cancelled. On the contrary, according to the new report of gaming insider NateTheHate, gaming press and media representatives will gain access to Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced as early as this week, followed by a full-scale announcement. Scooper also notes that the game's reveal could take place either on the same day or a few days later.

“Got a lock in date for the Black Flag reveal?

Media/press are seeing it this week. I assume a public reveal will be the same day; but could happen in the days following.”

In addition to the debut trailer, fans are hoping that the release date for this long-awaited project will also be announced, given that the remake has been in development for quite some time. According to a recent report by insider Tom Henderson, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is scheduled for release in the summer of 2026. The game will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
