Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Confirmed to Feature New Content That Wasn’t in the Original Game
It looks like Assassin's Creed fans have finally gotten a glimpse of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced—an updated version of the 2013 game featuring assassins and pirates. Over the last week, multiple insiders confirmed the full announcement is expected to be held on April 16, after Ubisoft’s recent confirmation at the beginning of last month.
Some of the fans have thought the game might be presented at the recently confirmed Xbox presentation that taking place the same day, but gaming insider NateTheHate has hinted Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced doesn’t need any presentation to introduce itself. Nevertheless, ahead of the long-awaited reveal of the game, details have emerged, and they suggest that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will include new content that didn’t appear in the original 2013 game—including “new characters and stories.” The information comes from IGRS ’s website, as you can check out below:
“This title breathes new life into a fan favourite while remaining carefully faithful to the spirit of the original. It follows the story of charismatic pirate and Assassin Edward Kenway as he adventures through 18th Century Caribbean with parkours in cities, and battles at seas, in search of fortune and glory. Modernized in 2026, the new game includes a cast of new characters and stories.”
This report also confirmed the game is in development for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, but still no information about the release date. Gaming insider Tom Henderson previously stated the release is being eyed for summer 2026.
