God of War Faye Spin-Off Details Reportedly Revealed
There are multiple God of War games confirmed and rumored to be in development. One of those, which is not being announced by Santa Monica Studio yet, is the one dedicated to Faye, with the game’s first details having been revealed.
According to the new report of MP1st portal, the upcoming title will explore East Asian mythologies, and it will be a prequel to God of War (2018). Although Faye will be the main character, not Kratos, he is still expected to make a cameo appearance. Also, Tyr from God of War: Ragnarok is expected to return.
Speaking about Faye, she will have Merlin at her disposal—a talking sword and a companion, which is described as a “gelatinous cube.” Unfortunately, there are no details about the game’s story, combat system, or further connection to other God of War titles.
It’s curious that gaming insider Tom Henderson recently revealed that he heard about God of War video game announcement scheduled for this month. So, potentially, we might expect the reveal of a God of War spin-off featuring Faye in the next 2 weeks.
Besides this title, Santa Monica Studio is working on the next mainline God of War game set in Egypt and God of War Trilogy Remake, which was announced at PlayStation’s State of Play in February. Plus, Amazon is developing a TV show based on God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok, which is currently in production.
